Chemical Change as Earthquake Early Warning Indicator

In September 2002, an earthquake with 5.8 Ritcher scale took place Husavik, a hot spring in a cliff in the worth coast of Iceland. Based on the analys of lillemor claesson from Stockhlom University and volcanic research center nordic in Reykjavik, before the Earthquake occured, there was a concentration change on water up to 100 percent. This opinion was also publish in Geology Journal from American Geology community. This phenomenom was predicted to be able to help counting down the Eartquake attack.

Based on the report of Simon Johnson from Rauters, the teory that supports the phenomenon is that there was a change in pressure and movement in the Geology fault in the Central Atlantic before the Eartquake occured. The phenomenon changed the chemical characteristics of water in the earth's surface.

"Ten weeks before the Eartquake, we found the peak content of Chromium. Then, five weeks later, the content of manganese increased greately, followed by the increase of zinc content two weeks before the Eartquake, and the increase of copper content a week before,"Claesson explained.
